Just Stop Oil Protester Arrested in Just 15 Seconds of Marching.
We were given a section 12 order on a separate street. And that’s the only street it should apply to. There is a specific location needed to be given when the order is in place. We then entered the road at a separate location, a different road, and I was arrested using the previous order. This is an illegal arrest. I’ve done nothing wrong. The police are using intentionally vague language to arrest protesters (like me).”
This is part of an ongoing campaign by Just Stop Oil to have marches of protesters moving through the streets at multiple locations across the UK. The protests have been successful at keeping the pressure on the establishment to answer to the climate crisis. A typical day can have 4-5 teams of 10 or so marchers making their way through the streets with banners and orange vests. The risks continue to mount as the police crack down, but the protesters don’t seem to be deterred, and new JSO supporters join their ranks daily.
