Dies Irae Can Not Be Stopped

 Water cannons are brought back to the A12 to deter protests. 

 As the police have been forced to retreat their tactics lately, the orchestra retakes the roads with their instruments. On a previous Saturday, they were forced to perform without their instruments. The 180 piece orchestra took the street again this time, and belted out Dies Irae once more.
   Saturdays are always bigger, and this one looks to be no exception. The turnout could be the second biggest ever, and when the numbers come in, it would be surprising to hear if less than 1000 were arrested today. To add to the intensity, a second protest took place at an ING bank, to re-awaken the Hot Summer ING Tour protest that took place over the summer.
On the main scene however, on the A12, the police eventually began to escalate. Pain grips were used to damage wrists of protesters, and water cannons were eventually brought back.

   Another post reveals that the orchestra, who were arrested, are singing Dies Irae on the bus. The slogan has been, “Fossil Fuel Subsidies Can Be Stopped, We Cannont” but it would appear that Dies Irae is also becoming an unstoppable force.
   Eventually, the streets were clear - and the Netherlands Rebellion account sent the usual message back out, “We’ll be back tomorrow, 12:00pm.”

   They will also be back Oct 3rd, for a formal complaint in court against the water cannons.
