Climate Defiance Disrupt U.S. ambassador to Japan Rahm Emmanuel
Earlier this week, Climate Defiance disrupted U.S. ambassador to Japan Rahm Emmanuel. These series of actions have put pressure on officials to step down from there positions, in the cases of Jody Freeman and Tommy Beaudreau. It also creates a lot of headlines which gets climate criminals in the spotlight of the news, so that more pressure accumulates.
Big news: We just profoundly disrupted Ambassador Rahm Emanuel. This climate criminal pushed through the Alaska LNG project, whose climate impact is 10 times larger than Willow.

Our planet is burning. Rahm is throwing literal gas on the flames. Hell no. pic.twitter.com/bkkH7vEigT
After their action, KH, 19, from Climate Defiance, said, “Rahm attempts to portray himself as someone who cares about the people. This is a blatant lie. He pushed through the Alaska LNG project while people are dying from climate change. The Alaska LNG project would have ten times the climate impact of Willow and won't even go online until 2030. It locks us into climate disaster. Last October Rahm even held a summit about Alaska LNG with investors from BlackRock.”
