Swiss Life Painted Orange

Yesterday, supporters of Renovate Switzerland threw paint on the “Swiss Life” building in Zurich, the #1 pension provider in Switzerland.
They then waited with signs for the police to arrive, and were taken to prison. Today, they remain in prison.
From their Twitter, “The Government knows what needs to be done and who needs to act, and yet it continues to hesitate.”
Renovate Switzerland are asking for a massive renovation project to make homes in Swizterland energy efficient. Energy consumption for climate controlled housing is the best way to cut emissions.

On the current path, the houses in Switzerland will not be energy efficient for another 100 years. This is why the group wrote “100 years” on the building in paint. This is the second painting action this week, and at press time, a third such action is in progress.
Renovate Switzerland is part of the A22 Network the of Civil Resistance.
