Senator Shelley Moore, You’re a Joke!
Climate Defiance disrupted Senator Shelley Moore at a Punchbowl News Speaking event. The logo for Punchbowl is turning the capitol upside down, and Climate Defiance did just that at this event. Shelly Moore is a huge supporter of the Mountain Valley Pipeline. As a West Virginia Senator, she has tremendous influence - on her own website she brags about going after the Federal Court for holding back this planet destroying pipeline.
Founder of Climate Defiance, Michael Greenberg, said this, “Today we confronted ecocidal monster Senator Shelley Moore Capito.Corrupted to her core, she rammed down our throats a 2,000,000,000 cubic-foot-per-day fracked gas pipeline. She has fought the EPA tooth-and-nail and never seen a fossil fuel project she doesn't like.She treats her own constituents as disposable. So we shut her down.She fled to the bathroom and hid from us. Moments before she left, trying to defend her record, she noted that she is on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. I burst out laughing, saying she uses that seat to vote against climate legislation. I told her, "you're a joke." Her jaw dropped.”
