Spokeswoman Marina Hagen-Canaval said, “We demand an appropriate response from society to the global temperature extremes,” said “Everyone must make a contribution to this according to their abilities, especially those responsible for the general conditions: climate-friendly behavior saves society enormous costs and is therefore not allowed remain expensive luxury.”

   Vivien said, "So many students are dealing with the topic here, so many know what's happening...  That's why I call on all fellow students and all employees of this university to join us. Only together can we do this."   

   From the roof, Simon Marcher, 20, uses a megaphone to announce to students a call for action, "We as a society have to get out of this paralysis in order to finally take action.”
   This is part of an action across Germany and UK to call on students and faculty to join civil resistance to save the planet this November.

All eight statues on the university roof were blindfolded to help convey the message.
