Silvia said, “Veneto is the land where I was born, where I studied and worked and where I would like to stay in the future; but it is also the first region in Italy for climate risk. Today, with sunny days, this sad record seems to affect us less, but have we already forgotten about the ice balls the size of oranges that fell from the sky just three months ago? The hailstorms and rain pass, but the damage remains, 1 billion and 126 million in damage this summer alone. This is why we want a preventive repair fund of 20 billion to be established, to repay the damage already caused by climate disasters and to feel at least a little safer for future ones, because at the moment, in my region, I don't feel at all safe or protected.”
