Scientists Cry out as 2C Barrier Broken

ΔT +2.06 °C !! This is what uncharted territory looks like.
The first time that the global temperature anomaly has broken through +2.0 °C, for a single day in observational history.
Much more to come in the months ahead.

Wet Bulb Spring

Is it any wonder you have people dying of near wet bulb temperatures in Brazil in springtime when the daily anomaly breaks through the 2C mark! This is what abrupt climate change looks like. Mitigation is urgent urgent.

That Mean Mean Pliocene

Paris (1.5C, 2C) is DEAD and BURIED. We are barreling towards the Pliocene (mean surface temp 2.5°C–4.0°C higher than pre-industrial) with large swaths of the planet desert or steppe - extreme swings between hot/cold, drought/flood; unpredictability Crops can't survive.

Staring Doom in the Face

Not many get it. But some do, and thank you for the impact they are having.
Two groups that get it are Just Stop Oil and Extinction Rebellion. I am 100% in support.
With doom staring our youth straight in the face, nothing else matters. Nothing.

“What are our responsibilities at this time? Because of the fossil fuel industry, we are facing horrors of a magnitude never before experienced in our existence. Our government continues to lead us to the edge of no return. We must stand up and defend ourselves. No one else is going to do it. It must be us, if we want to live.
Our methods must be disruptive, and they must be nonviolent. Our actions are evidence-based, credible, and we have a plan. The only thing missing at this point in time is YOU!”
