On February 14th, 2024, the gauntlet was thrown down in Washington DC, when Donald Zepeda and the activist known as Kroegeor decorated the Constitution in red paint, at the nation’s capital. They declared themselves in rebellion, and demanded a declaration of a climate emergency. 

In response, in a move never seen before in history - Legos have broken from their packaging, recognizing a global emergency, and that there are No Legos on a Dead Planet, and decided to enter into non-violent civil resistance against the US Government.

Legos are now demanding the government declare a climate emergency.  

Extinction Rebellion Pathways, an affinity group of Extinction Rebellion, have begun a campaign to put pressure on Biden to declare a Climate Emergency before his term as president ends. 

The campaign is called "Lego the Constitution Two" and is a two pronged action - which at once draws attention to the climate emergency, but also to the political prisoner Kroegeor as he has been in jail for 4 months now without sentencing, and stands to spend much more time in jail at sentencing, on November 8th, along with Donald Zepeda.

Since their action on February 14th, the FBI began an investigation into the organization known as Declare Emergency, the duo (Zepeda and Kroegeor) were strong armed into eventually taking a deal - which they will soon be sentenced for. They have agreed to years in jail, in exchange for a possibly lighter sentence.

Extinction Rebellion Pathways, beginning in early October, will be executing non-violent, civil disobedience actions, in partnership with the Lego figures, some of which are pictured above. An undisclosed number of both activists, and Legos, have already signed on board. 

Since the government and FBI are doing all they can to prevent political discourse, and crack down on protesters, we feel some of the risk can be be alleviated, if we use humor, toys, indeed, child playthings - Legos - to help do the job. 

No more playing around - Declare a Climate Emergency.

This doesn’t necessarily level the playing field, but it does ask an interesting question. 

Are Legos braver than President Biden? 

Will Biden crack down on Legos worse than he cracks down on people?

It’s time our president grow up - and Declare a Climate Emergency.
