Water protector Jerome locked himself to a Mountain Valley Pipeline drill at the Elk River crossing in Webster County, West Virginia. It took over three hours to extract him from the premises.

Thursday climate protectors in Appalachia disrupt pipeline worksite for 2 hours
Climate protectors in Appalachia took over a worksite in Montgomery County VA and stopped work for well over an hour. The Mountain Valley Pipeline is a 320 mile long fracked natural gas pipeline that began construction in 2018. The pipeline was initially forecast to be done in 2018 at a cost of 3.5 billion dollars, but strong resistance on the ground has more than doubled the cost of the still unfinished pipeline. There were no arrests.
