Two supporters of Just Stop Oil threw soup a Van Gogh Painting, Sunflowers, Oct 14th, 2022. The two women walked into the room in the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, in which the ‘Sunflowers’ is hung and at 11am threw the contents of two tins of Heinz Tomato soup over the painting which has an estimated value of $84.2 million. Since then, this action has come to be known as the Iconic “Soup Throwing” action.
